Register to stop seeing this ad! ![]() Mahindra USA had some major announcements at their press release early this week. First of all, they will be moving their North American headquarters from Tomball, Texas to their assembly plant in Houston. At the same time, they also announced that effective December 31, 2009, they will be opening up a new assembly plant and distribution point in Chattanooga, Tennessee to take the place of their Calhoun, Georgia facility located one hour south of the new one. These changes were made after working together with their partners to improve their distribution channel so that the requirements of both their dealers and customers will be met. “Our primary goal was to ensure a smooth transition as we bring the Chattanooga distribution point on-line. We are pleased to announce that the product availability and service levels that our dealers have been accustomed to, will continue unaffected,” said Mike Hilderbrand, Mahindra USA’s VP for Marketing and Organizational Development. According to reports, the move to the Chattanooga facility will affect fourteen employees. |
